City Church Kids

You don’t want to arrive late on a Sunday morning - you may be ambushed by the stampede of kids racing out to City Church Kids!

Each morning kicks off with rego time - where else could you paint your nails and play basketball at the same time?! And then… “We like to move it move it” like King Julien from Madagascar. We jump at the opportunity to let loose and dance, especially during worship, and we depend on Hillsong Kid’s backing tracks to make up for our lack of musical talent (excepting the super-talented Kylee and Sarah!). Sometimes we rope the youth band into rescuing us from our musical efforts – and those are our very favourite worship times!

We’re all about making our kid’s relationships with God practical and real. We talk about things such as being a friend to others and hearing God speak to us and we make sure that we can wrap up what we learn each morning in just one sentence. If you can sum it up you may get to put on our WRAP IT UP present box!! Our kids also love the interactive cream pie comps that put their listening skills to the test.

Who said it couldn’t all be fun and games?! We love to compete in our KNOCK OUT tribal wars (we’ve quite literally seen some kids knocked out, sorry Jed – you’re one of our legends! Parents don’t worry; we really are super safety conscious. Accidents just happen!)

We love it so much that during the school holidays each morning BURSTS with tribal war galore! From tug-of-war to sticker slap to over the top!

All this gets us real hungry. We used to attack the slice at the church café but now we allow the adults to enjoy their cake while we satisfy our own hunger with nothing better than Griffins Hundreds and Thousands and Choc Chip cookies.

City Church Kids is made possible only by our precious leaders (and they liked to be called ‘precious,’ especially NathanJ).
