Cleansing Stream We all tend to have 'baggage' that accumulates in our lives and is anything but helpful - such things as disppointment, guilt, rejection, etc. The Cleansing Stream course teaches how to walk free and to not pick that sort of baggage up again. Truth Meets Life "The whole bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true." 2 Timothy 3:16 Truth Meets Life is a biblical study group where you will examine the scriptures to understand the truth of the bible. Run by Pastor James Hood, Truth Meets Life is an opportunity to discover biblical truth by searching the scriptures. "An important questions is 'Am I free?" Unfortunately many people are not free, even thought they have knowledge of many bible truths. As finite beings we struggle to comprehend the truth about an infinite God and His ways. To find the truth, we need to allow scripture to interpret scripture so that we will have the truth." Through a series of questions and answer styled lectures, Ps James will help you to explore biblical truth in a way that is interesting, immersive and challenging. The classes are designed in a manner that anyone at any level of biblical understanding can gain something from attending. All that is needed, is a desire to seek and find truth! The Ministry Training course could be for you! “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth” 2 Timothy 2:15 This in-depth course is for those who would like to learn how to minister effectively as led by the Holy Spirit. You will gain understanding of the power available to Christians and will receive practical training in spiritual warfare, how to pray for healing, break bondages and set people free through the power of Jesus Christ. The course is presented in 3 modules consisting of teaching on DVD, Cds and relevant books. Further essential study in workbooks involves about one hour per week at home. Module One (6 sessions) “Who He Is and We Are Module Two (8 sessions) “The Weapons of our Warfare” - The Blood of Jesus Module Three (4 sessions) “You’re an Intercessor” - The Call to Intercede Course Dates for 2012: Module One starts May 2 and runs fortnightly until July 11

Kairos Couse Kairos Course is starting soon on Thursday the 26th of April and runs for 9 Thursday nights. The Kairos Course is a fantastic introduction to World Mission and God's heart for humanity. The course covers the world wide Christian movement from Genesis throughout the New Testament, from modern history to where we are today in the 21st Century, and how we can play our part in God's worldwide mission of mercy. The course is $70 (or $120 for a couple) and we runs for 9 weeks, once a year. Course costs cover supper and a work booklet. 
The Marriage Course The Marriage Course will be running for seven Monday evenings starting in August. Email Ps Sharon for more information. The Marriage Course is a must attend course no matter how your marriage is going. Like a warrant of fitness for your car at the Marriage Course you get the opportunity to ensure everything in your marriage is in running smoothly as well as the tools to improve different areas. The course is run with cafe style seating ensuring you and your partner enjoy an intimate 'date like' atmosphere where you can discuss various areas of your marriage as prompted by the DVD presentations. You'll also enjoy some beautiful dessert served to your table each night. Each session is practical, informative and fun. There is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner. Over seven sessions of the course you'll discover practical tools to help you... - understand each other’s needs Each session is interspersed with film clips of couples talking about their experiences of marriage and street interviews from around the world. We have loved hosting this course for the last three years and have had great feedback from the couples we have taken through this course. “Good learning about each others differences" So please come and join us. 
The Marriage Preparation Couse The Marriage Preparation Course is available on request. If you’re like most people you prepare and plan for many things in life; education, career, retirement and holidays. And most couples spend up to 250 hours planning their wedding, but very little time, if any, planning for married life. There are many things you can do to begin building a lifelong, happy marriage. Investing in your relationship before you are married will reap rewards for many years to come. The Marriage Preparation course is a five session course that would be a great investment into your future marriage. It is set in a fantastic atmosphere we're at your own table you are served a candlelit dessert in a romantic setting while listening to practical talks that are informative and fun played on DVD. We love to be able to host this amazing course for those who are engaged or living together and thinking about getting married. Each evening runs for about 2 hours with time of discussion and questions with a host couple if you wish afterwards. There is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner. We have been running The Marriage Preparation Course for three years and have had great feedback... “We learned better ways to deal with conflict ……. I loved the way it was presented in a modern and often humourous fun way……. It helped us improve or relationship and work on issues in a healthy way……. Toolbox Parenting Toolbox Parenting Course This is a great course to set you on the path to be the best parent for your littlies. The course is interactive, has DVD presentations, group work and fun!!! Our kindergarten, Shalom, is running this course and they would love to have you along! It will be a great morning of learning and meeting other parents on a similar parenting journey. It truly is an investment in your family. Toolbox Here at City Church we love empowering and equipping parents. We want to help parents to do the best job they can in raising kids that are great fun, self disciplined and make a positive contribution to society. Using Parents Inc.’s fantastic Toolbox Course we learn together how to help our children to grow well!! Toolbox is a six week parenting programme run for ages 0-6, 6-12 or teenagers. The Toolbox courses are a mixture of DVD presentations, discussion and supper to encourage learning together. It is great to see parents talking, discussing and brainstorming how best to raise our children in a non threatening often humorous way. The Toolbox DVD presenters are so practical and down to earth so the teaching and advice they give makes sense and is easily applied. The Toolbox Manual is a great resource to refer back to during and after the Course when issues arise with our children. We take driving lessons, swimming lessons and get diplomas and degrees in various fields of study. Often though in regards to the important task of rasing children we don’t have any training Let's learn together and be faithful in raising the next generation to be all that God intended them to be. |
