New at Church?

Hi there, thanks so much for checking out our website.

Perhaps you have never been to church before or at least haven't been to church in years. Perhaps you've just moved to our wonderful city and are looking for a church. You might have come to City Church Tauranga a couple of times but want to find out a bit more about church. Hopefully this page can fast track you in the right direction.

First of all there is nothing we'd like more than to actually meet you! Don't just read about us come and check us out, come and say hello.

Sunday Services:

Our Sunday church services are a great way to come and experience a slice of City Church Tauranga. You'll be able to meet some of our fantastic and friendly church family, as well as of course spend time connecting with God.

We have two church services every Sunday here at 252 Otumoetai Road. These start at 9.30am and 6.00pm every Sunday and run for an hour and a half, so take your pick! We recommend you turn up a couple of minutes earlier if possible – we have friendly hosts who’d love to meet you and who can also help you with things such as finding a seat, locating various facilities (such as our Parent's Room) and any other information you might need.

During our morning service we have a full kid's programme happening for children aged 18 months through to 4 years old (Kidlets) and also City Church Kids for children aged 5 - 11 years.

We also have a Parent's Room for mum's and dad's with newborns through to 18 months. Here you can watch the service on a widescreen plasma without missing a thing and with your kids crawling around free to be kids. (FYI, we are literally in the process of building a brand new expanded parents room. This room will have one-way glass that gives a full view of the auditorium, a quiet area for sleeping babies, feeding cubicles etc. If you don't have kids yet now is the perfect time to have a baby at City Church Tauranga!)

If you have older kids there is a great programme for intermediate aged kids fortnightly during our evening services. This is called Edgechurch and it's world famous in New Zealand. Check it out here.

At the end of the service the MC will invite you to join some friendly folks in our Visitors' Lounge. This is a great opportunity to get to know some people and to enjoy a coffee and some wonderful slice (choc-caramel always goes down well). We look forward to meeting you there!
